Some children are ready to begin the process of removing the diaper at 18 months of age, but others do not show any interest until they are 3 years or more.
With the ease of disposable diapers now that you know is not good to force children too soon, it is best to wait until your child starts to show some signs that you are ready to begin go to the bathroom by himself rather than pressing down to begin its test without being ready.
First of all is to invest in a good chair urinal or a special seat that fits the toilet in your bathroom. If you also purchase or find at your local library children’s books or videos on the subject, certainly generate greater the interest of your child.
To begin, let your child sit on his potty fully clothed once daily, after breakfast, before bathing or as sole normally go to the bathroom. That will grow accustomed to the pot and begin to accept it as part of their daily routine.
Once your child is already quite used to sitting dressed in his potty, the next step is to do so without the diaper. Remember, it’s something he has never done before and that needs to get used to the feeling of being there without clothes. Explain that when they’re old enough you take your clothes before you pee or poop.
Children learn by imitating adults, therefore the most natural way to learn to use the toilet is watching you do it. When we are demonstrating how to use the toilet, it’s good that you go explaining what you’re doing, you teach what you have “produced”, and you teach that in the end you wipe, dress, and strips you clean your chain hands.
Something else that could help you teach your child is where they go their poop. The next time you dirty diaper, take him to his potty, sit and then empty the potty in his diaper beneath him. This will help to associate the act of sitting on the potty and poops. Then let go with the toilet and empty the contents of his potty into the big toilet. Let him flush the toilet if you want (but do not push if you feel afraid) to see where he goes he has done. Teach him to dress and wash their hands at the end.
Encourage your child to use his potty whenever the urge to do so, but make sure you also know that you can ask, and you’ll be wearing to the bathroom whenever you want. Sometimes children do not remain seated long enough to relax and make poop. With calm, try to motivate him to stay for at least one minute. It will be easier to get if you do company, talking or reading a book.
Some kids like them and they work very well, but others are just a different type of diaper, so do not do their learning function. These children are motivated more underwear really get this kind of diapers.
No child who completely mastered the art of the toilet by himself without first having a series of small “mishap”. When this occurs, you should not get angry or punish your child, recalls that until very little time your child had not yet fully developed his muscles, and therefore did not have the control necessary to achieve hold urine or stool. Over time, your toddler will become very efficient, but while you learn, the best you can do is clean it in stride when the exhaust pipe or poop and suggest that next time try using his potty.
