How should mother prepare for breastfeeding?
Colic occurs due to swallowed airs and causes stomach ache in the baby. the baby should be burped every after feeding to expel air by holding the baby next to the shoulder or putting the baby on his stomach over the lap, then patting his back gently until he burps.
The baby is satisfied at the end of 15-20 minutes feeding time.
He falls asleep pomptly and sleeps for three to four hours. he gains wieht satisfacotrily from month to month. the baby should should double his borth weight at 5 months of age and triple at one year.
It is normal for breastfeed babies to have frequent stools. in the firsf two months, the stools may not be well-formed. this does not mean that the baby has diarrhea or being overfed.
Breastfeeding can continue up to two years of age or longer for as log as there is milk.
Energy giving food, body building foods,and regulating foos are the additional recommended for the babys diet even while breastfeeing.
